Writing Help – The Way YOU Need It!

Unbelievably, it was only 6 months ago that I released the Ultimate Fantasy Writer’s Guide, the course I designed to take you from the spark of an idea to releasing an amazing novel to raving fans and launching your writing career. So much has gone on since then that it feels like it was years ago.

Or maybe it is because it was a huge amount of work and I can’t believe I fit it all into a few months! lol.

I’ve followed all the advice and opened the course for only two exclusive 5 day windows. I limited payment plan options and enrollment perks. All I can say is NO MORE!

I’m not good at following rules anyway. 😀

Talking to students and prospective students, I’ve learned quite a few things. And if there isn’t a better audience to listen to, it is the one that is interested in what you teach! And they wanted:

  • Payment plans
  • An option to enroll when it fit their timeframe
  • The ability to buy half the course
  • AND the ability to buy only one module

So I went back into the guts of the Guide and made that happen.

Seriously. I dropped EVERYTHING, including A New Goddess, my current WIP which is book 3 in the Game of Fire trilogy. Yup, the final book of the trilogy and I was just entering the final sequence of a huge epic battle with a plethera of plot lines that raced through all three books (and a few that had been born during the previous trilogy). I put it aside to redesign the Guide.

I might buck the rules, but I do try to be responsive!

And now it is DONE. I would say shoot off the fireworks, but I just want to go back to my writing so loud noises and bright flashes would just be annoying (and fireworks really scare my dog!).

The Guide was a dream crafted from taking one too many horrible writing courses looking for help myself. I’ve suffered through a novel writing course that passed out photocopied sheets that we never discussed and consisted of each person reading from their WIP while students wrote down notes to give to the author. Note that we never actually learned what good writing, metaphors, description, character development, POV, ploting was. We were simply thrown to strangers and told to give feedback. I can’t believe I seriously paid for that.

I learned more from being frustrated by not knowing what to do and going back to notes from my creative writing classes in college (and they say an English degree is useless!) then I did in those classes. And I wrote. A. LOT. One day I realized I was perusing advice from a novelist who, I think, had one published novel to her name. And it was on writing advice, not actual fiction, much less fantasy.

I think my jaw bounced off my computer.

With eight books out at the time, I was taking advice from someone who had one??? I’d been writing, marketing, creating writing tip posts for years and I was still looking for that perfect course that would have made a difference to my writing and author career. That is when I realized it didn’t exist.

It is also when I realized I could create it.

So I did. I worked my arse off for over a year and a half to create the Ultimate Fantasy Writer’s Guide, putting into it all the best tips and advice that would help writers create a book that was uniquely theirs (and not a copy of mine or my style), build a fan base, learn how to format both ebooks and paperbacks, learn to market, and even more. It is truly a labor of love that I am proud of.

And I’m so excited to re-launch it in not just one, but THREE new forms!

You can still get the full Ultimate Fantasy Writer’s Guide in all its amazing completeness from taking the tiniest idea and developing it into an amazing and complex novel, growing your fans, launching the book to reviews and sales, and going on to build an amazing author career. No other course covers this entire gamut from writing to post book launch career much less does it by covering the core steps without lots of distracting fluff that will only slow you and the process down.

But that might not be what you need!

If you want to focus on improving your writing and really develop your author voice to shine, then check out the Writer’s Modules. These are modules 1 – 6 from the Ultimate Fantasy Writer’s Guide. Nothing is left out! All the lessons on idea development, plotting, character development, POV, and voice, plus specific modules on writing the beginning, the middle (where so many authors, and readers!, get lost),the end, and the final lesson on advanced writing techniqes which include dialogue, pacing, and more are there. It is half the course and only half the cost!

If you have the writing thing down but are struggling with sales and reaching readers, check out the Author Career Modules! This is the second half of the Ultimate Fantasy Writer’s Guide and will take you through how to build a fan base as you write, and why you need to, to how to overcome writer’s block and an inspiration-sucking, busy life, how to tackle the editing process to refine a rough draft into something polished and professional from content edit to opportunities to enhance description and magic, plus how to format your story into an ebook AND paperback, including templates, discussion on where to publish and what is required, and, of course, how to launch your newly released book to fans and sales.

But there is more after that.

A career doesn’t end with the release of book 1 and it isn’t just about writing the next book. The last module is about growing your author platform by uncovering your author brand, reaching new readers while maintaining current fans, and pro tools that will help you stay on top of marketing results.

Ok, so that was two new options. What is the third? All the modules as stand-alone courses.

Think of this as the a la carte option. Pick the modules you need to focus exactly on the areas you want to improve. Or buy a half course and add on an additional module. And ALL OF IT is open for whenever you are ready to enroll. I’m done with the timelines. They supposedly “increase sales” but they also increase frustration and exclusion. Who needs either of those?

I want you to write amazing stories, because I think the world needs more incredible fantasy stories. I know I do, and I can’t write them all! Plus I want you to have the fulfilling career I’ve found. Hearing from a fan who loves your characters and novel is one of the most uplifting parts of life. Find it for yourself. Let me help. Get the Guide.
